Neva Ensemble

The ensemble, founded by pianist Ayşe Nil Ülgener in 2012, performs Argentinian Classical Tango, Tango Nuevo and different Tango songs from all over the world including Turkey. Beside it is performing classical music composer’s works inspired by Tango. Consisted of six musicians of the best orchestras in Turkey such as Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic, Tekfen Philharmonic, Istanbul State Symphony and Istanbul State Opera & Ballet orchestras, the ensemble is bringing their experience in classical music to Tango. Bandoneonists are Gustavo Battistessa, Leandro Medario and Brian Caballero. Also actor/singer Ali Pınar shares the scene with them. Videos, photographs, mimics and impersonation are in question. TangoNEVA gave numerous concerts in the principal concert halls and venues of Turkey and Cyprus. Lastly the ensemble participated to the Bisanthe Chamber Music Festival, The 9th Phaselis Festival and 24th International Bella Pais Music Festival.
